So I got a Samsung S7 Edge. A good device will last some time.

I've been kind of paranoid about my device's battery usage. In fact, I did a factory reset, changed some settings, and disabled some bloatware to make sure my battery lasts as long as possible. In fact, I even uninstalled the Facebook app.

To put it simply, I am interested in how others are doing with their phone's battery life. I followed the link above, and I really enjoyed the results (apart from the now-noticeable dips in the graph every time I use my phone):

Am I being too paranoid? What features should I enable so I can enjoy my phone's features without sacrificing too much battery life?

My LG G3 lasts around 1,5 days of normal usage (emails, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, gReader etc.) and around 2,5 days while not in use (mainly in weekends) so I think that this is a pretty good score for a smartphone with 5.5" QHD display.

I have Nokia Lumia 625 which last for 3-4 days depends on my usage; sometimes when using mobile data then one day only but the battery is effective for any consumption.

Meanwhile ASUS Fonepad last for a week when idle, 2-3 days for casual and for heavy forum browsing as 1 day.

Lumia and iPhone/iPad have better battery life than any Android device.

For example, an iPad Wi-Fi model can stay at 100% charge for hours, whilst idle aka (not being used). Now an Android device will slowly drain.

The ultimate method to reserve battery life is to use Flight Mode, which disables all communications such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Mobile Network etc, unless manually enabled, but don't use your phone or tablet during that period.

I'm a heavy Android user, so while Stamina helps, I always have my USB charger nearby. I use my tablet more to reserve phone battery life.

My Note 4 battery can last anywhere between 12 hours to 1.5 days.

The biggest culprit to battery loss on Android is app wakelocks. You can prevent them with an application like Greenify. If you're rooted, you can also use Amplify Battery Extender.
Just be wary of which apps you decide to lock down because it will no longer push GCM notifications so you won't receive messages until you manually open the app. I generally don't lock down WhatsApp, Snapchat, or anything notification-dependent.

Many latest smartphones and tablets nowadays incorporates good Smart saving technology so its all about the wear and tear level depends on the consumption.

I am using HTC desire EYE, it lasts pretty much a day. I usually keep Wi-fi, Mobile Data, GPS, turn off. Use auto-adjust brightness.

I have an iPhone 6 and use my phone pretty heavily throughout the day. I always make it home with a little battery life to spare. A few suggestions for those of you looking to improve your battery life...

Many people actually think that opening up the app switcher and flicking all of the apps they're not using to close out of them conserves battery life but it actually does the opposite. iOS is built to essentially "freeze" apps that are not being used by you. They don't run in the background when they're idle (there are exceptions if it's something that is constantly using your location, but that brings me to the next point..) so what happens is that when you close out the app and then re-open it later, it actually pulls more battery than it would have because it needs juice to shut it down and re-open it.

There are apps that you're going to need location services for but there are a bunch that you don't. You can go through them in settings. Turn off location services for all apps that you don't need it.

Auto-brightness should be on at all times. No reason to have the brightness jacked up to 100 when you're in a dimly lit room.

If you're running the latest OS, power-save mode helps when you start getting a little low.

You can always go into settings and see which apps are using the most juice.

Also, I find that actually turning the battery percentage off makes a difference. It keeps you from feverishly checking your home screen to see how much you have left. It doesn't sound like it makes a difference but you'd actually be really surprised.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, and it usually lasts a whole day or more just fine, which is good because I can charge it from 0% to 100% in about an hour.

I own Redmi note 3 Phone with 4000mAH

On Normal 4G, with it last about 45 - 48 hours with 15% remaining.
On Wifi, it last about up to 2 - 2.5 days.
On Airplane mode without wifi, it last 7 days and 5 hour (with 12% remaining).

All of them normal usage (call, SMS, Whatsapp, Facebook).

I don't stress my phone battery to their limit. Charging begins once it reach below 45% and peak at 85% and then stop.

Auto-screen brightness, vibration off, GPS off, roaming off, no background apps running at all times, battery saver mode ON.
