Advice Request software update is not from trusted source

Dear gents .
when i am updating some application such as files it is gives me an alert that it is not from trust source and require admin password. is this normal ??

Edit : OS is Ubuntu 26.04 LTS

i tried this to fix App updater from little time ago
And the you received the same error message?

The command sudo apt update
Will update the list and mirrors of updates and it should fix the issue.

Can you please take a look at the repositories stored in

/etc/apt/sources.list

Please send a screenshot of the list.
 
In my tests following the release of Ubuntu 26.04, I found that updating software via "Ubuntu Software" was sometimes buggy, whereas "Software Updater" proved more reliable. The only drawback of "Software Updater" is that it does not detect Snap packages, though these are updated automatically regardless.

Personally I always use terminal to update. If any errors occur, you will see what's going on.
