I used this method too and it went smooth as could be. I wasn't going to update to the Spring update I was going to say goodbye to Windows 10, but, I've decided to keep Windows 10 on a small partition.

I'd recommend waiting since there's been speculation that the SCU will be released to the public today since it's Patch Tuesday. Unless you want to download the preview, install it then update to the public build straight after.
