Can't speak to question directly. Different apps, similar looking UI. S&C scan takes longer than HMP, and will remove malware where HMP requires a license.

Apparently they aren't quite the same, according to a recent post here. Other than that, this one can be used for free and lacks the option to do custom scans.

Scan with Sophos S&C took <2 minutes same as HitmanPro.

I don't like the fact that I have to give email to download S&C while HMP doesn't require it. Which one is better in your opinion?

HMP should be able to detect more malware. However, although there are no limits on using it to scan for malware, you get only a thirty day trial of malware removal. Rather than starting when you first use HMP, the trial doesn't start until you use it to remove malware.

AFAIK, Sophos Scan & Clean has the same "limitation" like HMP, only detection for malware as PE (exe, dll, sys, …)

I just ran scans with both and they detected the same amount of threats and PUPs. While Scan & Clean shows the total number of PUPs detected as "Potentially unwanted items," HMP calls them "Traces" for some reason.
