I just want to know that spybot search is any good. I use to use it a long time ago on a differnt computer.

It was good back in the day, but it is just horrible these days. I don't recommend anyone to use it.

when i had an infection on my computer(an adware was installed and music was playing all the time) i used it to remove the adware but it failed to do so,it was a disappointment for me so i uninstalled it and never ysed it again. right now i"m using malwarebytes free which is quite good

Version 1.6.x and prior releases were excellent. In recent years, the product decline to the bottom of the pack. No longer is it recommended and the free version lacks the Bitdefender engine. If you are using Windows 7 SP1 or higher, then no please do not consider using Spybot Search and Destroy.

I recommend using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free and / or ESET Online Scanner for on-demand scanning.

Since it`s make over and rerelease it`s unfortunately not much use.

I`d recommend Hitman Pro along with all the other great suggestions on this page.
