Still Getting Pop-Ups

Hi,
I'd like to thank you for uploading the post explaining how to Remove pop-up ads from Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome as that was a big help. Although I'm still experiencing problems from viruses I don't know how to get rid of.
I think my problems started as a result of trying to install a FLAC to MP3 converter which when I realised wasn't working, I uninstalled. However, since downloading it I've received numerous pop-ups and viral ads. Some of which I have managed to remove with the software you have recommended. However I am still left with Pop-up ads appearing often when clicking between sites, Ads including fake downloads for Internet explorer, firefox, java and Norton software appearing and Green links appearing on websites advertising fake software downloads or competitions to win money.
Have you any idea how I could fix these problems without needing to spend any money?
Thanks, Jack

Hi,

Please download zoek.zip or zoek.rar by smeenk (

) from here or here and save it to your Desktop.
Unpack the archive...
  • Close any open browsers
  • Temporarily disable your AntiVirus program. (If necessary)
    If you are unsure how to do this please read this or this Instruction.
  • Double click on zoek.exe to run the tool .
    Please wait while the tool does not start...
  • Copy the text present inside the code box below and paste it into the large window in the zoek tool:
    NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to the operating system

    Code:
    createsrpoint;
    gpt.ini;z
    C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy;v
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\GroupPolicy;v
    StandardSearch;
    emptyfolderscheck;
    installer-list;
    installedprogs;
    uninstall-list;
  • Click on
    Run%20Script%20by%20zoek.png
    button.
    Please wait until a logreport will open (this can be after reboot)
  • Save notepad to your Desktop and attach here zoek-results.log
    Note: It will also create a log in the C:\ directory named "zoek-results.log"

Thanks a lot but I think I've sorted it, I went through my programs and uninstalled programs I was unfamiliar with and from what I can tell, the ads have stopped. Thanks anyway!
