i like Symantec endpoint security But I do not know which settings to choose from the beginning when installing,To be free forever and to have the most security in terms of antivirus and firewall....typical or custom and: standard client or embedded client or dark network client ?
And finally, how much RAM usage ? is it lighter then f-secure with ram usage (300-400mb) ?

Choose darknetwork client if you have a poor internet connection, this setting downloads the full signature database. Embedded client is for systems like atm machine etc. If you worry about ram usage it's a tell take sign to get an upgrade to your ram module. If you have an 8 Gb ram module then you don't have to worry about the usage or free ram percentage. You need only worry about idle cpu usage, that's the one which is going to contribute to your power usage, your battery consumption etc. If you only have 4 Gb ram, then you should not install anything else other than most basic applications that are absolutely needed to make your system run. If you have 16 Gb or more then you need not worry at all, install anything except malware.

Sorry, i didn't notice activity on this thread.
Well, i haven't used the whole suite, just the Firewall and IDS part of it and been happy with it.
For what i've heard the whole suite offers good protection, but even more if you use the SPEM software policy manager for which you need a license. @Vitali Ortzi helped with that, give him a message.
SPEM gives more variety in options than if you installed the unmanaged version of endpoint security.
SPEM also requires different computer or virtual machine with windows server or windows 10 to be able to use it.

Even more protection would be use standard user and seperate admin account in windows, if your system supports TPM in bios, activate it and change your password to Windows Hello authentication and activate BitLocker.
And have regular backups full & incremental.
Might also add Hard_Configurator by @Andy Ful to the mix.
Probably others will chime in if i forgot something :p

Hello to Everyone.
I came to this forum, while searching for a solution to a problem I am dealing with all the latest versions of Symantec Endpoint Protection.
When trying to install the latest "Symantec Endpoint Protection v14.3.4615.2000_x64 (14.3.0_RU2)" , Client only in custom mode, after installation is done and windows restarting, the only thing I can see is some dots spinning in circle and system wont start at all in Windows..
Currently installed is "Symantec Endpoint Protection v14.3.1169.0100 (14.3.0_MP1)_x64".
If someone could share any knowledge would be much appreciated.:)
Thank you.
