Hello again! Yes, I know this is a free help site but you were very patient and took the time to walk me through this process. My other 2 choices were to take me pc somewhere to have it cleaned and have them hose it, or do a complete reinstall myself which I was pretty much going to do. You gave me a different option. I know whatever donation I make really wouldn't be enough to really cover your time but it is something. A few follow up questions... I downloaded MS security essentials (anti-virus), pc tools (firewall), uninstalled all my other anti-spyware tools EXCEPT malwarebytes (which I own the pro version), the update checker, and cc cleaner. Uninstalled avg, installed MSSE, then all of the others. I still have the adwcleaner on my desktop, is there an uninstall for that or should I leave that there? 2nd. I usually have firefox, opera, chrome, and seamonkey browsers open checking various gmail accounts and doing other things. I was signed onto a number of accounts when that problem occurred. I was able to sign out of them before anything was done to them but do you think it would be wise to change all of my passwords on everything? I did change my amazon/bank/paypal passwords while at work today. Oh, should I change my windows log on password as well? I think that's it for now. I am currently running scans with the new software on my pc now to double check and make sure everything is clean. Once I see your answer, then I will feel better about logging onto my bank and paypal sites to make a donation. Thanks again! Charles
