Troubleshoot System Restore Error 0x81000203

I am not able to create a system restore point.
Attached is a screenshot of the error message.
I looked this up online and tried the suggestions to no avail.
does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Have you recently used the 'Kaspersky removal tool' from here: Removal tool for Kaspersky Lab products (kavremover) ?

If so, check out this site: Robert Cathles: Kaspersky Removal Tool Bug . It fixed my issue.

If you are running Rollback RX or something like that, it might be interfering.

The information you provided fixed my issue as well.

I had indeed used kavremover and I was unaware that it would screw up my system.

I disabled self protection of my security software as it was mentioned in other posts.
I didn't think it would be helpful, but I tried anyway.
It was indeed the Kaspersky Removal Tool that took out the ability to create a system restore point.

btw...I backed up the 'repair.reg' file to an usb stick just in case I need it.
