RE: Technology's Configaration (updated_26/9/2013)

Windows 8.1 is not released yet from where did you get it.

RE: Technology's Configaration (updated_26/9/2013)

I installed the RTM, Windows 8.1 RTM is available for MSDN and TechNet Subscribers

RE: Technology's Configaration (updated_26/9/2013)

Ok, So you are MSDN & Technet Subscribers. What is RTM. Is it a Beta or Final Release.

RE: Technology's Configaration (updated_26/9/2013)

RTM means release to manufacturing. This is usually the code/binaries that is officially released and fully supported (Unlike RC, release candidate). Future bug fixes and service packs will be based of the RTM binaries.

After RTM, Microsoft provides the build to its software, hardware partners and OEMs to test out / create WHQL drivers and add support for legacy and new software/hardware so they can have Windows-machines on sale from the launch date, this leads to some changes/enhancements to the OS which is released as a hotfix or service pack,

RTM = Final Release, their build numbers are exactly the same.

RE: Technology's Configaration (updated_26/9/2013)

Ok, So RTM is the Final Release. Is there any way i can also get this RTM version.

RE: Technology's Configaration (updated_26/9/2013)

I'd like to add if you have access to DreamSpark Premium, you can download Windows 8.1 32-bit/64-bit Professional/N.

@MrExplorer, existing Windows 8 user can download and upgrade to 8.1 for no cost. Patience. :D

RE: Technology's Configaration (updated_26/9/2013)

Updated:

Removed: CIS 6.3

Added:
Eset Smart Security 7 beta

RE: Technology's Configaration (updated_07/10/2013)

Good Choice - ESS v7 Beta is claimed a stable version (By ESET Forum Mod - http://goo.gl/EzW7cJ) & the final version will be released with minor changes or fixes.
Really Advanced Memory Scanner is the Best thing i like in ESS v7.

EDIT:
The Only serious bug found in ESET v7 Beta is with Integration of ESET in Outlook.
