How can you run MBAM? It's better to run it with something.

Why not use a real-time AV? CIS or Trend Micro should be your top choices lol. :)

I'm trying different products this period before Windows 8.1 be released at the end of august to install fresh OS.

for MBAM I liked to see its impact on system, it used about 130 mb of ram but not heavy at all not as the last time I've used it

for sure if i will use product as RTP it will be CIS, but as i said im just test some products :D

Does Revo Uninstaller Pro use many resources? What about when it's monitoring an installation, does it keep tracks of everything created by the software including log files? So when you uninstall the product, are all monitored changes are removed?

Hi ZeroDay,
I'm not interest that much with backup :) and I haven't tried macrium before but from my experience with TI, I found it very good product

Pros:
- Has many feature such as:
mobile file access, non-stop PC backup, try & decide feature (similar to shadow defender),...etc
- Has great compression with fast process (backup and restore)
- Acronis startup recovery manager (no need for a DVD or USB to boot from )
- Many kinds of backups (single, incremental, differential, chain, custom)
- Synchronization

cons:
- bloated and heavy on system (so I'm running it from usb or you can disable its services)

In terms of backup and recovery speed I've previously read that both are similar and Macrium was the least resource usage between others

so if you want a fast and light on computer resources software, go with Macrium Reflect Free, need extra feature then Acronis is worth considering.

Hi Earth,
- Resource usage:[attachment=5241]
- Revo uninstaller pro is great in removing leftovers of programs may be the best, and there are two program come with monitoring installation (Revo pro and ashampoo uninstaller), but sometimes you have to remove manually a little reg. key and an empty main folder in program files direc.

Thanks :D
