Tech News Tesla Roadster

In F1 lots of technology to push small engines trickled into use of small turbo powered engines in mid sized cars etc, pushing tech eventually helps but realistically at least here the issue is the cost of running any vehicle due to rising energy costs?

Due to newer cars becoming new fangled & complex I had to have a headlight assembly replaced yesterday as I had one headlight not working, its not just the cost it has to be coded in to the car & part of the front of the car needed removing to replace it, there are three billion connections on the the light unit, I nearly had a stroke when my dealer told me the cost, gone are the days when a simple bulb could be fitted?

Personally, I find this a very interesting development, although I try to keep my expectations grounded. The demonstration is impressive and shows what Tesla is aiming for, but what matters most to me is seeing which features actually make it into production and how they perform outside a presentation.

I'm also curious to see how some of these features fit into the real world: whether they'll be viable and legal across different markets, and how much practical value they offer beyond the visual impact and marketing. The technological potential is certainly interesting, but the real test begins when the first customers get the car and put it through its paces in real-world conditions. 🚗⚡

I agree, interesting but not practical. Where are all the people flying around with jetpacks on these days, and that was developed in the early 1960's?

This is just more bulls**t PR from an authoritarian oligarch who knows absolutely nothing about engineering. He bought and maneuvered his way into the business. Just another nepo trust fund baby. Word.
...?, has never driven a Tesla...?? I think you can dislike / disparage EM, and like Tesla, or at least I can (fwiw)

and you don't have to get the version that flys, just get the one that pushes the car to 0-60 mph in 0.55 seconds I think they said force 5G, can your heart take it...

That's what I was thinking as far as Starlink, too. No matter what someone may think of him, he did help to develop that internet option for people and countries worldwide.

Indeed, and he can cut it off whenever it suits him. Look at Starshield in Ukraine. He's unhinged and a megalomaniac, like IQ47 and the rest of the bros.
