The Antivirus, Anti-Malware, & UAC Preferences Poll:

For many of us here Antivirus, Anti-Malware, and UAC are cornerstones of computer security, yet our preferences regarding the choice or settings of these still differ from person to person.
This Poll is to gauge those differences.

  • ANTIVIRUS / ANTI-MALWARE:
Perhaps you are happy with Windows Defender
If not,Is your Antivirus part of a Security Suite, or is it Independent?
Do you use a real-time Anti-Malware Software (or 2nd AV) alongside your Antivirus?
Maybe you use an Anti-Malware Software instead of an Antivirus for real-time protection.
You could be one of a growing number of people that does not use a real-time AV or AM

  • UAC:
Which do you prefer your UAC set at? -
Do not dim my desktop
Default
Maximum

The main distinction between an AV ,AM,or neither is guided by the name of the product /description of its developer.
If the primary function of a software is as an Anti-Exe/Whitelisting program then it does not count as an AV or AM in this poll, regardless as to whether it uses a service such as VirusTotal or not.

I checked :
  1. AV: - My Antivirus is an Independent,3rd-party Software
  2. AV: - I use a real-time 3rd-party Anti-Malware (or 2nd AV) alongside my AV
  3. UAC: - My UAC is set at "Maximum"
But for the UAC, it can change, depending on what I'm doing (need to modify it sometimes):)

Ticked these:
AV: - My Antivirus is part of a 3rd-party Security Suite
AV: - I use a real-time 3rd-party Anti-Malware (or 2nd AV) alongside my AV
UAC: - My UAC is set at "Maximum"

Main AV (Security Suite) - EIS
AM and AEs - ZAL along with SAP and AG
UAC - Set to MAX
