There is good news and bad news about the Windows 10 release on July 29. The good news is that you will have an entire year to upgrade your Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 system for free. The bad news is you should probably wait until the last minute to make the upgrade because of numerous problems everyone has found with Windows 10.

Microsoft has become very cavalier about many of the issues people have with its desktop strategies. It wouldn't be so bad if the difficulties were not so obvious and seemingly mundane to fix.

Well I am thinking of the same thing for months. Upgrade only after a few months (before the 12-month upgrade offer expires) so most of the bugs have been ironed out. It's worth the wait for security and stability.

As always, it will never prevent the things which may cause issues but as long it still not deliver then no need to worry about. Be surprise if its already in primetime and many users may brag with complaints.

If the upgrade will not be required & one can perform clean install then I will wait.

But if the upgrade will be required before you can do a clean install then I will install it right away.

same here
I have a little DOUBT now.

They say that after Windows 10, then there will only be "Windows" (some sources say I could choose to stay on Windows 10 and not upgrade to "Windows").

And this new upcoming "Windows" will be the final OS Microsoft will maintain -- and as a subscription service. If Windows 10 will automatically upgrade to this kind of Windows, then I'll have always with me an installer of Windows 8.1 Pro because simply I could not afford the yearly subscription service.

Anyone enlighten me on this. Thanks.

Yeah. I read something about Windows'' as well. And so far, the idea that Microsoft will force me to upgrade to it and pay is what makes me hesitant to upgrade to Windows 10 now.
