Ah... vote my friends, vote!

What's the most important feature on a security product? Although probably all of them combine into one, since they all create a good software together, which is for you the most important one?

A poll has been added!

All of the above.

You should not have to decide based on one aspect; all good products should have decent Self-protection, Performance & Stability, Usability and Compatibility.

The most challenging one is Customer Service. Humans have good days and bad days.

I'd go for "Effective / Quick tech support with Impact on system". Most of the time (especially with using a new product) tech support is needed. Not all users have that technical know-how and thus the need for effective tech support. Though you can get help elsewhere like here at the forums it is the primary duty of the product developers to help out the user (especially when it is a paid product). The Impact on a user's system is also important as if it slows down your system to the point of hindering you to do your work smoothly then why use it? Usage can be learned (Ease of use) which I think will be a part of tech support but then again/that is if the user has the time to learn the intricates.

Guys- According to the results to the survey, if I code Security Software that is totally compatible with everything, Zero bugs, Fantastic Support (I'll answer the phones personally), no system impact whatsoever, and is install and forget you guys will buy it?

Forgot to mention, it won't stop anything (maybe I'll make it sensitive to EICAR; but again maybe not...).

Will you still buy it?

Yes, as long as whatever you build is called something like Snakebite version 10.0!(y)

The most important feature for me, is the option to prompt when something is detected, with the option to whitelist the file, rather than only auto quarantining.

Detection rate and the impact on system are also important.

If you personally come to my house to install the SW and give me an overview about it, perhaps :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I got your point, that's why I wrote this:
I voted "impact on system" because I assume "effectiveness against threats" as granted (given that nothing is 100% effective)
