Since there is a paid version, and does earn income, why do people keep saying it is free and earns 0 income, therefore it is unmaintained?
The website is a mess and has been only linking the Pro version for a long time now. You have to download the free version from the forum link: CIS Premium Installer.Comodo Internet Security is now a for pay app. It gives you like 2 weeks to use for free, then pops up payment reminder. If you don't pay it disables the product.
The file which you download is named cispro.
They are not even 3-4, tbh at the moment nobody is defending and promoting it anymore. The last mohicans are in the past too.three or maximum four immoral and irresponsible fanatics who will die promoting Comodo, as it is the only meaning they have in life
If we go by the poll results for this topic, there are two people who use or love Comodo because it received 2 votes, but I just don't know who they are. They are not even 3-4, tbh at the moment nobody is defending and promoting it anymore. The last mohicans are in the past too.
Ask Xcitium if the famous CIS/Xcitium HIPS bug "Create rules for safe applications" which deletes all HIPS rules during system shutdown has been resolved...I moved from Comodo to Xcitium
On Xcitium they update the proudct ever single week or month and there are always bug fixes and improvements
Its probably fixed for Xcitium i will ask the Xcitium Staff members on Xcitium forumsAsk Xcitium if the famous CIS/Xcitium HIPS bug "Create rules for safe applications" which deletes all HIPS rules during system shutdown has been resolved...
Xcitium and CIS use same code base, so it won't be fixed...Its probably fixed for Xcitium i will ask the Xcitium Staff members on Xcitium forums

Can be but it's the code base that counts...They do but they have different cloud infrastructure and different rules
It receives updates on top of the old CIS code base. Why would someone use HIPS? If it is able to safely and effectively contain unknown files (emphasis on these 2) and it doesn’t contain every other file you download, there would be no need for HIPS.
It appears on Xcitium forums that monthly updates ate pushed for Xcitium whilst there is nothing for Comodo. So I would assume the codebase is far from being the same.
i dont use HIPS i use everything but HIPS no i use Xcitium Cloud Verdict, containment,VirusScope, etc but i dont use HIPSCan be but it's the code base that counts...
Yeah, inevitably, but the updates involve modifying that codebase. Not sure, and tbh not interested to find outIt receives updates on top of the old CIS code base.
