Hi Everyone.

About a month ago (not sure the exact date on the dot) I started noticing redirects happening on many websites I visit such as amazon, ebay and etsy. It is extremely annoying because often if I use an external link, for example a link from a google search to the website, the series of redirects will send me to the home page, without the ability to use the back button to try again.

Here is a tracker log of the activity after simply tying in ebay in my search. The sites that I've been getting redirected to are addmitad.com, maso-leo.com and api.cactus-search.com, and there may be any other number of website in the mix depending on what website I was attempting to navigate to.

I'd like assistance removing this malware. One thing I will note is that at the same time that this malware became an issue on my desktop computer, it simultaneously became an issue on my laptop, making me think something to do with either chrome or my addons is going on.

I have tried to isolate any particular addons, default web browsers and policies in chrome with no luck, however I can't say for 100% that I've checked everything that I need to yet. Guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

We must find out where this bowser hijacker is located in the computer.

Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST).
Choose the 32 or 64 bit version for your system.
and save it to a folder on your computer's Desktop.
Ensure that you are in an Administrator Account
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Check the boxes as seen here:

Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Please attach the logs for my review.
How to attach a file to your reply:
In the Reply section in the bottom of the topic Click the "more reply Options" button.

p.s.
This program is updated often.
If it's identified as suspicious by your Anti-Virus program trust it if Downloaded from the link I provided.
if the download was from the site I provided you should restore the program from the Quarantine folder. It's SAFE.

It would not allow me to add the text of FRTS to the message so I have attached it below.

Please download the attached Fixlist.txt file to the same folder where the Farbar tool is running from.
The location is listed in the 3rd line of the FRST.txt log you have submitted.

Run FRST and click Fix only once and wait.

The Computer will restart when the fix is completed.

It will create a log (Fixlog.txt) please post it to your reply.

Please post the Fixlog.txt and let me know what problem persists.
