The install process is easy, there is one installer and you can set the options, choose your Deskop, KDE, GNOME, xfce etc.
openSuse Tumbleweed is rolling distro.

@TuxTalk do you have a vpn installed on Manjaro? IIRC I did not find mullvad or proton in distros. I think I tried to setup a proton login script but it failed. I assume some user config error. In any event, I am liking Manjaro more & more. Rock solid and I've had no reason to logoff.

sidenote chatGPT 4.0 has been a big help in some nitty-gritty. overall I sorta know what I'm doing in linux, and chatgpt is there to help or confirm. I pasted the apparmor status output into chatgpt and it confirmed all was configured correctly and running correctly including firejail. positive vibes :D

I'm interested in what you think about opensuse: how was the install experience. I'm planning on installing another distro weekend, not saying until it's installed and I have some sense of it. Meanwhile, I continue to enjoy Manjaro with xfce4.
openSUSE has the best and most complete installer between all Linux distros, it has 2 versions, rolling and stable, unfortunately the stable one will end sooner or later, if you like the rolling release model give it a try, you will like its XFCE version I guess.

:D yeah I saw your linux list. openSUSE was not on my list for this weekend but not too late for me to install openSUSE instead of ...

I could install openSUSE later tonight or on Sunday. Debian was on my short list and I notice in another post that Debian might be your fav or one that you rely on (how I understood your distro list) I do continue to be happy with Manjaro and MX.

To be honest I don't have a favorite distro, I'm always trying new distros, but I found that I need one distro to rely on as a main distro which must be stable and reliable, and this is Debian for me, but I play with other distros more than Debian.

Debian boring compared to openSUSE, you need to configure everything after installation, while openSUSE have YaST, it is like control panel in windows, it will help you with everything you need.

that's what I was thinking but you said it more clearly than me ;) I am leaning toward installing Debian next for same reason, then openSUSE will be on my short list.
