Video game company Ubisoft has sued both Apple and Google, accusing the two of selling a game that’s a “near carbon copy” of its popular game “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege.” Ubisoft alleges that both companies are infringing on its copyrights by selling the game in the App Store and Play Store.

The game in question, dubbed “Area F2,” is developed by Alibaba’s digital entertainment company Ejoy. Alibaba acquired Ejoy in 2017 as a way to venture into mobile and online gaming. Alibaba first started promoting Area F2 last year, and it was released for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices last month.

Ubisoft where did I hear that name 🤔.
Yes those bastards 😂.
Don't worry China had made an army of mobile developers .

OMG just checked it on YouTube. It's almost totally a carbon copy of Rainbow Six Siege. No wonder Ubisoft sued them. It's Alibaba who should be sued tbh.
True these Chinese copycat quality gone up 10 folds.
Who would think a few years back you could get free near PC gaming quality on a cheap ass phone like the Lenovo pro GT 5 Wich was 200$ for 855 and 256gb storage on black Friday .

To be fair there's so many games that do this, especially from Chinese Developers, that I'm surprised more Publishers are not taking action.
Making something based on other is ok I guess as long as you don't copy everything. The problem for this game is, it's totally a carbon copy. From menu to operators, maps, gadgets, environment, game mechanics, absolutely everything is copied. Serious actions needs to be taken to stop this from happening.
