Briefly explain your current issue(s)
Brightness will not go up when I tell it to. Screen too black. Unable to adjust brightness from control panel
Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful
Restart (twice) Disabled display drivers, and Monitor drivers and re-enabled
Help? P.S. sorry for making so many threads ;(

Try this:

RUNNH

100- Go into Safe Mode and see if the problem exists.

120- If the problem is the same the issue is probably with your hardware, Go To End;

130- If the screen brightness is fine Go To 140

140- boot into Windows, go to Device Manager, Click Monitor and uninstall whatever shows up there, then reboot.

150- If on reboot things work, Go To End;

160- If things are the same go to 170

170- Cruelsister should stick with software.

End

Above:rolleyes: were the (2) steps that made me *Lol*!:D

170a- Cruelsister covers all the bases (Safe!;))
Driver automatically updated itself. That's weird. Roll backed and should be good for now.
I'll hope all stays 'good'.:)
If 'optional updates' remove system functionality, you can deactivate them to no longer be automatically by...

1- Under settings...

1.1- Choose "Control Panel"

1.2- From "System and Security" find...

1.3- Windows Update >> "Turn automatic updating on or off"

1.4- Like Cats-4_Owners-2, you may opt to automatically download & install only "Important updates"

1.5 Unlike Cats-... , you might not wish to completely ignore 86 optional updates which are available
(or maybe you doo_O):D

End:p
