Unable to install any security programs - temp access denied + adware

Hello,

I'm visiting a family member in Russia whose computer seems to have several Trojans, as well as a large number of adware and malware programs installed.

I first tried installing malwarebytes but the installation instantly stops and tells me that it cannot create a temp file as access is denied.

This happens with every security program I've tried to install.

This also happens in safe mode.

When I tried running TDSSKiller, nothing happened. No windows opened.

When I tried running ESET online scanner, it tells me I'm not connected to the Internet.

HitmanPro shows the following:

ASEC
jnsoB714.tmp
IIlaYZ.exe
hnsyD188.tmp
knsxBCA9.tmp
qnsr6FC5.tmp
TextEditor.exe
casrss.exe
ZaharGameBrowser.exe
Dripsunhold.dll
Fasehome.dll
MediaDownloaderSetup.exe
testnextversion.exe
7CTQRC1XCE.exe
B9FE.tmp.exe
KuaizipSetup_long_1.exe
6912.temp.exe
F44E.tmp.exe
SSFK.exe
ssfkupdate0801[1].exe
Everything.exe
qks.exe
help.exe
IDH.dll
KuaiZip_Setup_long_1.exe
E3F8.tmp.exe
Uninstall.exe
D0AC.tmp.exe
AF55.tmp.exe
D220.tmp.exe
7E07.tmp.exe
OfferInstaller.exe
fsd7417.exe
2896.tmp.exe

After the free 30 day trial activation, I am not able to run HitmanPro to remove those threats. It's stuck on the activation page and says it's not activated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.

  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

I was finally able to run FRST after creating a new user account. Here are the files it generated.

Fix with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finishes FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.
