CCleaner

- I was just cleaning My Store room and I found My oldest PC,
- I try to run it again and I found it is working till now it is having XP, But it has many software's installed when i use it. It was hanging because of Less Ram.
- I uninstalled all software's just installed ESET 5 but it is taking lot of ram around 90MB,
- So then I install Comodo Internet Security Now after uninstalling all useless software's and update all software's and OS. Now the PC is running very fast,
- But the Browser uses around 150-210MB of ram but by the time open the browser my PC get very slow is there any Browser which uses less than 120mb of ram. So that My PC can run Smoothly.

Which one of them i can disable please help.

You only have 256 MB of Ram.The OS uses memory and then when you run a program or browser there isnt much left. You have to update{Add} the memory.1 or 2 GB's depending on what you are going to use it for.Anymore than 2 and XP wont utilize it so it really depends on what you want to do with it.

If I would be able to run it with this much Specs i would run it i would use but not then I will again put it in the Store Room

With 256 ram you can still take advantage of this pc but not for Windows.

Try Xubuntu or Lubuntu and you should be fine.

Exact, XP need at minimum 512mb of RAM, if you can get Win98 it could be interesting to use this computer for malware testing :D

Try Xubuntu or Lubuntu and you should be fine.

it is what i may do too, it is an occasion to learn how to use Linux.

512 = It is doable but you will suffer greatly from it.

Converting to a linux distro and getting used to linux is a win win situation on your case.

There is a version of XP that bypasses the 512mb. Its the TinyXP version which is modified to bypass with 256mb RAM but it is also stripped down version of XP.

Malware testing on such specs (with such low RAM) there is not much he will be able to test it.

Avant Browser should use a bit less resources but don't attempt to open more than a few tabs max.

My PC is not getting Very Slow on the startup of Browser it is Just affecting a a littlebit & without Browser it is running Very fast (Mean: Normal PC Works Speed without Creating any Problem)

I would imagine it would be 512MB.Whether you upgrade the memory or use Linux,It would be a great testing PC.

I think IE will use less RAM than FF or Chrome

IE 9 sits at around 39k with 1 tab opened (2 processes).

Chrome at 35k with 3 processes and 1 tab (no extensions).

Avant Browser with 1 tab: 25K here.

No need to upgrade the RAM for an Old PC, just take advantage of the little space and not bombard it with tons of software.

Chromium and IE are a multi-process browser, Firefox and Opera are not, so it will consume RAM with it's main process.

Or you could use Geswall (IDS), which does an excellent job at protecting you automatically, however I'm unsure if they have any form of product support.

For a lightweight browser you should take a look at this LINK.
Windows XP and the 512 Mb of ram age has dawned but unfortunately the software keeps up with the times and the newest hardware so installing CIS6 and latest browsers will greatly affect pc's performance. Maybe you should try a lightweight os like puppy linux and other.
Just my two cents!
Have a great new year if we don't "meet" again!:)

Since this is such an old machine, why not use it as a network computer. That meaning you have it connected to the local network and when (for instance) you want to copy something to another computer, you copy it to the network computer and on the PC that you want to get that file you can, off the network PC. Would make life easier instead of using it live on the net.
