Using Paypal is more safer and secure than using credit/debit card when it comes to data breach from 3rd party site and compromise?

Safer in which content?
With payment provider like PayPal, ApplePay, PayDirekt you get buyer protection in case if you don't get your stuff.

Since PSD2 all online credit cards need using 2FA which is realised with phone apps which is secure too you don't get buyer protection but it's more private.
Remember that PayPal sell your data to 600+ companies. Many users are also having trouble with PayPal so that's another side of the coin.

like against data breach and website compromise. with credit/debit card, the hacker can get the rest of your info from your credit/debit card # but paypal is only your email, i could be wrong on paypal one though.
Would you rather have your CC information in all the multiple websites you make purchases (increase the risk of exposing your data), or have the CC information only on Paypal?

To me the answer seems extremely obvious.
