VLC Media Player is officially heading to Android

VideoLAN today announced via its Twitter account that it’ll be officially launching the VLC Media Player on Android.

Cool, I hope it supports all formats and that it should be not a resource hog, same as the Windows version.

Great to hear and needed badly. I've had to make do using often 3 to 4 different apps just to play different codecs, I hope VLC will cover them all.

Great thanks for the heads up. Now I can view videos in that not the normal video player.
