My reaction as well.
It isn't our job as consumers to find alternative ways of funding their websites if advertising's not cutting it anymore.

agree, but I went to view cruelsister's video review of CFW v ramsomware, and it would not run. finally tracked that down to Perceptual Ad Blocker 0.1.0 I had recently added to chrome, as soon as I disabled it, the video ran aok. PAB obviously ID'd video as an ad.
I have not run PAB enough to comment further.

No problem with ublock origin with that site.
