It doesn't matter. Those threads should not be tampered with by moderators. It seems like there are 2 or 3 members on either side that always have to comment and always try to have the last word. Its like an obsession, they can't let it go and the result are threads that lose control.

Allow threads to take their natural course even if they end up hundreds of pages long.
People need to stop allowing stuff to bother them. If it does, then don't read the thread or the posts. Problem solved for them, without them interfering and ruining a good thing.

I understand, but name calling and ad hominems can be tolerated by adults and even teenagers. People smash the report button for all the wrong reasons. If it were my forum, I remove the report button because I know the abuse of mods that it causes.Nobody on staff wants to delete or edit posts — moderating is the part we all dislike, especially since we know most of the people who contribute. The real issue comes when words like Na zi, SS, or similar terms are used, or when members directly attack each other. That’s where we have to draw a line.
Nobody’s post gets removed for simply saying “X is good” or “X is bad.” The problem arises when it crosses into hate speech or personal attacks.
Same goes for threads that turn into name calling. Once it gets there, there's no saving it.I think after a thread degenerates into an IS!/ISN`T! situation with many previous points repeated ad nauseam it should be closed.

Nuclear bomb resulting to "word war" of ideas and beliefsWhat’s going on on Comodo threads is often a mixture of denial (refusing to accept Comodo is far from amazing), bad experience in the past, ego (loads of that), attempts for pragmatism, last but not least, people who are just there for the show.
The “synergy” of these people creates a community nuclear bomb.
Comodo threads serve as high quality entertainment. No need to spend money on streaming platforms.

And I think that is where we lost some really good members here maybe even recently, but especially about a year, a year and a half ago, because of that.As a longtime moderator in other forums, let me add something. Many people believe that a forum for adults should allow anything, including offensive language. The truth is, every time we had a flame war where people insulted each other, forum activity dropped. Most users don’t want to spend time in a place they perceive as toxic. So, while in theory a forum could allow those enjoying the flame war to continue, in practice we saw a very negative impact on the community as a whole.
I didn't know whether to Like or Laugh your post, but it's to good (TM) to not get a chuckle out of itWhat’s going on on Comodo threads is often a mixture of denial (refusing to accept Comodo is far from amazing), bad experience in the past, ego (loads of that), attempts for pragmatism, last but not least, people who are just there for the show.
