All of the free ones got a catch to them, If I were you I'd just get "OpenVPN Connect" for Android and use a free server list such as www.vpnbook.com. Also you can just use PPTP or LT2P, LT2P is more secure than PPTP.

Yea if you use one like vpnbook, it's safe, just don't do anything illegal.

I am not sure that free vpn provide good support for Android and trust able.. but you only want free so I'd mention some Free VPN names such as Cyberghost, Tunnelbear, Unblock-US and GetUKVPN.. Some VPN offer trial you can use them as well
