I suggest you to try enabling Safesearch on your browser. Just open Google in a browser and go to the Google preferences screen. By activating SafeSearch, you can filter explicit search results in Google Chrome and other browsers. Also, try using FamilyShield for blocking porn and related adult content. Hope it will help you.
DuckduckGo has this by default.

neustar dns is enough for me

But k9, sophos, forticlient have free ones

Back to the topic, is there any filter, that could block adult content? I found this one, but when added to adguard, it freezes/crashes the browser.
Code:

K9 and Forticlient are dead. DNS blocks way too much, I just need something, that would block adult ads.
DuckDuckGo Moderate filter is great, it blocks only adult pictures, but no searches, so something like that.

As much as I dislike its performance as an antivirus, Dr Web's Security Space has outstanding features for blocking adult websites. I only tested its trial version, but I found its interface annoying at the time. I might give it another try in the future. For now, I'm using K9. Apparently, Norton discontinued it, but it somehow still works.

Blocksi as web extension, from chrome webstore if you still happen to use yandex ( not sure was it opera or yandex wich couldnt handle blocksi thought)

Sophos has adult filter in their antivirus, wich is decent but once again its whole suite or nothing

DNS blocking is way too agressive indeed, neustar or cleanbrowsing are doing best there

You can try using Yandex DNS in the "Family" mode, there is just filtering the "adult" content. Or a program from Kaspersky - Kaspersky Safe Kids. As an option, use both at the same time. Then the filtering will really be reliable.

Yandex is pathetic, not just in blocking malware, but also in blocking advanced adult sites, like animated porn (all the fallen). (n)

Those Gryphon Secure Router are very good value for money on Amazon. But there will be much cheaper ways of achieving what you need to. Some ISP's offer adult filtering by default, ours does and it's rock solid a bit too aggressive at times.

...a bit too aggressive at times.

Exactly.

I can't even watch nature videos or read articles about wildlife.... as my ISP filters out naked animals.

NextDNS is great. It's like DNS with Pihole. Choose whatever host blocking list you want. Adblock, porn, everything.
Adguard DNS's Family protection is another good option for Ads+Porn blocking.
Cleanbrowsing DNS's Family filter blocks adult content as well.
I checked out NextDNS last night. I don't know how this DNS service went under my radar because it looks fantastic. I haven't tried it yet, I have signed up for the Beta and I will be setting up and trying it out today. Judging from the looks and settings alone it looks like the best third party DNS I've seen for a long time. Thank you for sharing the link and making me aware of it. Everyone who uses a third party/Custom DNS service should check NextDNS out it looks very promising indeed.

For the OP the Gryphon routers look like a good option for you and they're a lot cheaper than I expected them to be on Amazon. There are other routers which would help you too. If you go into settings on your current router does it give you the option to block custom domains or anything using key words etc?

I know Sophos has a good web filter which will filter adult content, Kaspersky offer a similar service as do Norton, I think. You could use a hosts file that blocks adult content along with another solution too.

I know you said you want interested in DNS services but Open DNS offers a good web filter too. Although if you do change your mind and look into third party DNS services I'd definitely check out NextDNS. Isn't there an actual filter built into Windows/Microsft Defender settings now called family options?

Great indeed, thank you. I have found a filter there, that works really well, not 100% effective, but darn close to it. Just what I was looking for. :emoji_ok_hand:
