Malware samples downloaded from Malwr for example, are in .bin format if I remember well.
Just rename them to .exe, or in the native format as from the report (.js, doc, etc).

I'd put a huge "BEWARE: MALWARE AHEAD" before any new user makes thing he shouldn't

And the usual password this sites use to have is "infected" (as identified by @fared harbert), or "malware".

Oh, I thought it is something like iso and I have tried to unpack it. But I can not unpack exe. Thanks, I think, that did it. Wannacry dropper running now.

They are in .bin format, for security reasons I believe, so you cannot open them inadvertently.

You have to register at both services after that you can download all samples. No password is required by unpacking the samples!
The samples have the file extension ".bin" and you need only to change to the original file type...
