Wont be much left of Europe if we don't have some rain soon, although that wont solve the problem, the damage to the environment in the UK is showing as the ecology here is not used to long periods of no rain, & higher temperatures, what the temperature where we we are is somewhat irrelevant, its really how is it like historically its has been, it has not been like it is now in Europe since records began, its killing trees & all the ecology - Temperature records as seen on a 'Met Office Deep Dive' are usually broken by half a degree or so, now they are been broken several degrees, driest July ever here, similar with June, this is very unusual, we tend to work on how things have been & at the moment we are entering a new situation far different that was forecast just a few short years ago, whatever the cause, Its very unusual, to be frank I really don't know that anyone knows what will happen, again as its a new situation...

Yes, and the problem is that once we do get a lot of rain and/or if it rains a long time, I have been told that it could over-saturate the ground. Which could cause a whole lot of other problems. However, personally I cannot remember a summer this hot without rain this long.

I've been very interested about weather since I was a child, maybe a main hobby & weather stations, at 67 years old I too have not seen things like this, & i have to say it is of some concern, what can be done about it of course is another question, maybe not much at all. I have AC in my lounge & I among others are looking in to AC throughout, reservoirs near me in the Derwent Valley are holding up somewhat but other parts of the UK are much worse off, other parts of Europe too are not doing well so we will have to see I reckon.

Unfortunately, waiting is the only thing most of us can do.

No improvement in Europe over the next week or more, high pressure again parked up over Denmark area just bringing more hot air & a rain shield, no rain for most of Europe, to say this is unusual is a understatement at least for the last 190 years @Morro

I don't think I helped the situation when I used to do this: :poop:

Yes, the weather here in Europe is not nice to us, but hope for rain is still very much alive.

30°C
Rain here is very unpredictable, so the weather forecast isn't very reliable.

Mostly sunny and clear sky but luckily not dry. The sky is constantly retaining more and more moisture. Sometimes we get light rain, and other times a downpour in our coastal town.

will it be 102 F or 105 F -- yes!
Temperature-wise, daily high temperatures will inch up a degree
or two each successive day into well above normal levels. This
will cause a Moderate to Major Heat Risk across the area to
become Major to Extreme as the week progresses,
eventually "easing" for the weekend back into to Major territory.
aka summer.
