How to uninstall the Iminent Toolbar for Internet Explorer?

Step 1:Are you sure you want to uninstall the Iminent Toolbar for Internet Explorer?

Step 2: Go to your Control Panel

You can find your Control Panel in your Start Menu or by hitting Ctrl+R, typing "cpanel" and then hitting on Run.

Step 3: Select Programs and Features or Add/Remove Programs


Depending on your operating system, you can find the Iminent Toolbar for Internet Explorer in "Programs and Features" (on Windows Vista and 7) or in "Add/Remove Programs" (on Windows XP).

Step 4: Find the Iminent program and select Remove or Uninstall. You may be prompted to confirm that you want to uninstall it. Click “Yes”.

  • Clic on "Next"
  • Wait a moment
  • Please come back!!


Beware, do not choose the "Repair" or "Change" options, those options will not uninstall the Iminent Toolbar from your system. Also, older versions of the Iminent Toolbar may be called "Internet Explorer Toolbar", but you can use the same method to uninstall them too.

That’s it! The Iminent Toolbar has been completely removed from your system. If you ever change your mind and want to come back, you can get the latest version of the Iminent Toolbar from our official website: www.iminent.com/download

Scroll until you locate the Iminent Toolbar Add-on.

Step 4:Click the Remove button. You may be prompted to confirm that you want to remove it. Click “Yes”. If you only want to temporarily disable it, click the Disable button.

Beware, choosing “Disable” will not uninstall the Iminent Toolbar for Firefox from your system. Also, older versions of the Iminent Toolbar may be called "Firefox Toolbar", but you can use the same method to remove them too.

Step 2: Go to your Extention Manager in your Chromium based browser Main Menu > Tools > Extentions


Step 3: Find Iminent in the Extentions list.


If you only want to temporarily disable it, click the "Enable" checkbox. If you want to remove it click the Trash icon. You may be prompted to confirm that you want to remove it. Click “Yes”.

To change default search in Firefox

Step 1:Open Mozilla Firefox browser

Step 2:Type “about:config” in the address bar and hit “Enter”


Step 3:Find the “keyword.URL” preference


Step 4:Right-click on the “keyword.URL” entry and select Modify

Step 5:Enter any valid search URL (default value is “http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=” for Google search)

lots of strange behaviour, I.m infected I think. Not using now so cannot contaminate () just on with a full system scan now...
It,s getting through my defences ....grrrrrrr

i,ve done everything...it hides from malwarebytes, microsoft malicious mware remover, avg ....loads of manual work done....it,s everywhere. Fairly sure it,s one of those tr???? trojans

done it.....fingers crossed... some of the files , theres loads


trojan attacks files, server, win32.exe, mui, twain_32, winSxS, ERUNT, WBEM
