I agree up to a point. I certainly believe that WD provides more than adequate protection. But while I have absolutely zero paranoia when it comes to security and am not obsessed about having the absolute best protection, I do have good reasons for not using it. I use a third party antivirus, because it is lighter than WD and gives me much more control. If Its download protection quarantines a file, it gives me an alert, which gives me the option to go to its quarantine, where I can restore and whitelist it. If the realtime protection detects something, rather than automatically quarantining it, I get an alert which gives me the choice of quarantining or whitelisting it. When it comes to problems, 360 TS doesn't cause any for me, as I've found it be extremely stable. Even though it gets very regular updates with unspecified bug fixes, which would suggest that it's a very buggy product, it's not. As for annoyances, by using a third party antivirus, I have fewer. My computer runs faster and I don't have to manually whitelist files that I don't want to be deleted.
