What movie are you watching or planning to watch?

I just finished Marty Supreme, long film 2h29, sucks you into early 1950s, interesting, I was wondering if it was based on true story, but apparently not although at least one element has a basis in fact. I liked it (fwiw). & yes Chalamet very good, as were all the actors, well written.
Like most "based on real life" books and movies 10% true but 90% fiction. You can tell which is made up too in many real life movies and books.

I can't make up my mind about going to IMAX for "Project Hail Mary" ... (serious sci-fi or silly...?? can't tell from reviews).
It surprised me, I thought that they can not make movies like this anymore. I rated it 9 on IMDb.

Not long after another surprise on Netflix, I am definitely getting this one. It reminded me of Nausicaa's scene, though Patrick Stewart's voice made it stick as well.

I watched (streamed) "Jack Ryan: Ghost War" (2026)(Prime Video) -- this originally ran as a series (a few seasons) and interesting, well written... BUT they released this as a movie 1h45m and story is hard to follow and more like a who cares / shoot-em-up / car chase video game with some occasional nice urban photography. IMDB metascore 39, and also low rating at rottentomatoes, skip unless you WANT to be bored to tears (imo). only watch it, if you must. to see Sienna Miller full clothed.

Yah, I didn't find it that interesting.

My Thoughts

I was glancing at the Vimeo Staff Picks.

The thumbnail for this short film / video caught my attention for some unknown reason.

So I decided to click on it. I ended up watching the entire short film because it caught my attention.

I listened to how the French was pronounced and noticed some of the few English words in it.

Furthermore, I also kept up with the English subtitles.

This short film managed to keep my attention until the end. It followed Sarah’s journey after she wakes up in bed.

She finds herself in an unknown house in an unknown neighborhood.

She is not sure of what happened exactly or how she got there.

This short film presents several social situations.

Including one with a friend and old acquaintances, where tension builds.

It made me wonder what it might be like.

What if I and some old acquaintances met under circumstances like that?

It was interesting to see examples of some social situations that some people experience.

And how different people react to them differently.

What Is It?

The 2016 action comedy short film and Vimeo Staff Pick Jakkals13 (Jakkals 13) by Ari Kruger:

Jakkals13:

What Do I Like About It, And What Might Other People Like About It?

I like that they took a risk trying something different.

Even if I did not like the approach they took, other people might like that as well.

My Thoughts

Back when I saw this short film, it surprised me because it was unexpected.

I did not expect the comedy, and it was not as good as I had hoped.

I would prefer it to be serious without the comedy.

Likewise, I am surprised that it is a Vimeo Staff Pick.

I do not think that it is good enough for that.
