Eric Burdon - Spill the Wine

"Out of the middle
Came a lady
She whispered in my ear
Something crazy
She said
Spill the wine and take that pearl"

Nice one, Bryan :) I did a quick little stop at Wikipedia and didn't realize, or had forgotten that at one time it was called Eric Burdon and War.
War (originally called Eric Burdon and War) is an American funk/rock/soul band[8] from Long Beach, California, known for several hit songs (including "Spill the Wine", "The World Is a Ghetto", "The Cisco Kid", "Why Can't We Be Friends?", "Low Rider", and "Summer").[9][10]

And that he also played, vocals with the Animals, the song, "The house of the rising sun".

This particular song I heard recently on a public radio program, Sound opinions I think, connected to a Sly and the family stone piece they did, I didn't know about your last point though it doesn't surprise me, a talented individual (y)

Thanks, @Jonny Quest, and I remember that song from the intro to The George Lopez show :D :
