help me guys
thanx

hey my emsisoft is using 50% of the cpu all the time is dat normal or not?

Which one? EAM or OA?

in any case it is not normal except during updates, scans or after the boot.

did you set properly the exclusions?

the eam....... its normal now i disabled a few things and installed online armor with it.......like i disabled activate self protection ,detect riskware and the option beneath it.

it is not recommended to disable any of those, you reduce your EAM potency.

try to add Online Armor processes to EAM exclusions and vice-versa; and any other security apps' processes to both EAM /OA exclusions.

Don't need a third-party firewall if you're running Windows Vista or later.

Very unusual to see such high CPU on any of Emsisoft's products.
You must have conflicts somewhere on your system.
Please keep us updated with your findings.
Thanks.

its now working fine just the popups all the time but i guess its good

I find that it takes a while to 'learn' your system so initially over a few days you may see spikes, but none to the extent cpu wise you mentioned.
Anyhow glad it's now working for you.
It is a very strong combination for sure :)

Just what others said - EAM + OA is unbeatable combo ;)

You might as well run Online Armor with EAM to have the whole suite. OAP is a powerful/granular firewall.

He's using that combination already.

Probably the wrong smiley to use.
But appears you overlooked what he is already using.
This was already intimated in the post above your's.
Apologies if this caused any offence ;)

Windows Firewall should be enough with Emsisoft Anti-Malware, it offers excellent protection by itself. If you always download files safely and safely browse the web, you should not need a third-party firewall unless you are paranoid.

Enjoy!!:D

OA can be annoying while installing some new stuff but then you should choose "Installation mode" (if you trust the soft that you're installing) from the popup and problem should be solved.

Normally you should always download installers from the product website,( so you can trust its installation in OA).

Personally, i don't trust other ones.
