Serious Discussion What would you add to your antivirus?

You are using BD Free, but you're looking for ransomware protection. Bitdefender Internet Security provides excellent ransomware protection.

Which Bitdefender I.S. has been discontinued for new purchase. AV Plus would be a nice economical option for Ransomware protection (minus the Firewall, which WFC could be used in place of).

Equal to setting cloud protection level to "zero tolerance" and applying ASR rule "Block executable files from running unless they meet a prevalence, age, or trusted list criterion" to apply the zero tolerance to executables without motw.
But I prefer AVG/Avast as you can manage all the settings without the need for any tools. Moreover, Avast/AVG is lighter on system resources (on my devices). Finally, I can add files to quarantine and submit them for analysis from within the settings.

I've been using McAfee until now. Nothing should be added to this antivirus program. On the contrary, McAfee should finally stop displaying pop-ups for additional modules. Since McAfee has just started this nuisance again, I've deleted the program and am now using Microsoft Defender.
Nothing irks me more PC wise, than paying for a program then being bothered by intrusive popups often to get more £'s from me, I must be fortunate as McAfee hasn't done that to me but did to a relative, I use often the basic level by choice, I understand your annoyance - As @Marko :) has said, AV's seem to be a dwindling market & to obtain revenue they shove unneeded extras at a user, vaporware usually.

Here's my take if I would add something to KASPERSKY....

Maybe Kaspersky's Detection + Eset's Optimization + BD VPN + AVG GUI for it's simplicity + Trend Micro's Cyber Army + Crowdstrike's Funding + K7's lifetime license
This is just a dream product that will never ever be produced.

And lastly I will add Comodo's Firewall.
That won't be a gold product without Comodo.

Dude 😂 This would be a genetically modified security solution.

I'd use Kaspersky on its own
