Hi donbosco. I agree with Fantasy. Choose (1), and you shall be safe.

I would suggest you to use ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

Both of them are very good, but I would vote for ESET. Kaspersky is known to use enormous amount of resources sometimes, and I had cases when it makes my PC unusable until I uninstall it.

Backup? Nod32 or KAV,whichever runs the best on your machine as both are good.
