Why not Internet Explorer?

i started this thread as to not interfere with the show us your browser thread http://malwaretips.com/Thread-Show-us-your-web-browser

malware medic Wrote= why Internet explorer?

Security issues <----- it seems all browsers have it in some form or the other
slow <------ on some systems people have problems with other browsers being slow
doesn't look very good either <------ beauty is in the eye of the beholder

i use Ie8 most of the time because i doin't have Win 7 i also have a second browser Firefox i also like Opera

this is controversial but

Internet Explorer blocks more malware than Chrome and Firefox, according to a study

i think that Web browser are like Antivirus software Everybody has there favorites and it's ok thats why theres so meany to choose from

IE 9 is no doubt much better than it used to,but it does not have many extensions that chrome firefox or opera support.

i use IE8 because i have Win Xp and before that Ie7 when it came out
i'v not had a virus in over 7 or 8 years (Knock Wood) lol

i practice safe surf and if i go to the dark side i use Sandboxie i'm mostly
at security forums

i keep my system up to date and use minable protection (WSA and Sandboxie)
i have pro versions of Mbam and Superantispyware but use them on-demand
also Hitman pro and scan mabe once a week or so

i'm not as paranoid as some although i used to be and when i was the more
security software i was running seemed to slow things down also so wheres
the trade off slowness or security

my system is light and fast so i doin't see much difference in Ie8 or Firefox
i'v used Opera and Chrome and thay seemed a little faster but not by much on
my system

all this works for me and i can understand might not work for everyone

malware medic asked so i thought i'd see what others say with out interrupting
that thread

thanks arsenaloyl i forgot about people using extensions as i doin't use them but
from what i have read some can slowdown browsing also and ad's do not bother me lol

and mabe i should of started this in the War Room and i'm very sorry for that

Out of all the versions of Internet Explorer, version 9 has to be the best one there is. Faster, much more secure than the older versions.

if you are using sandboxie jim lin, then i would not be worried about the browser that you use,i use IE 6 sandboxed,as some of my apps in office laptop do not work on any other browsers.
