As being a born and living citizen of Turkey, I thank you all for being this much open-minded and observer of my homeland. All of you make me proud to be here on MalwareTips family! I am happy that you all are aware (more aware than most of my people) what is really going on in Turkey and what the current government of Erdogan is trying to create.

Yes, we had many blockages within years, mostly Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Wikipedia, Wikileaks etc. and this is REALLY sad. For example, I can't access to a specific website, while every other person on Earth can, and I have to mask my connection and show myself as I'm in Netherlands, Germany, USA, France or any other country with todays privilege known as "freedom". The reason behind the current block of Wikipedia that (what they say) is : there are some subjects/discussions that show Turkey as a terrorist country and they block the ENTIRE website just to make us not reach those. This is what is told, but I believe, what they trying to do is, to hide some subjects that they dislike about theirselves. Hide it from the majority, and they are succesful.

What makes me sad is that, the image of Turks in Europe and many other developed country is REALLY POOR nowadays. They believe that all of Turks are supporting Erdogan, supporting the old beliefs of Ottomans, close to Arabic people, terrorists or many other worse titles. This is NOT true. Yes, most of our population is not well educated, do not know or care about worldwide news, other countries and their cultures but there are people like me too, educated, care for other countries, tries to learn different cultures and specially NOT CLOSE MINDED. This way or another, specially via many cheatings, Erdogan will be around for a long time, because people does not want to change the current government and besides, the minds of the population is A LOT different than European or other world countries. For example, you could defend your rights, you could go with the majority and endure the government, then go to election and change the current leader etc. but this can not really happen here in Turkey. The reason is; people does not care for their rights, because they are close minded. They like to be ruled this way. This is just really sad.

Please do not hesitate to PM to ask questions or for any further subjects about the country, but I hope I could sum up some of the thoughts over Turkey at this time.

I will say again, thank you for being open minded, and knowing what is going on in my country. I am truly proud to be here. :)

I think I'll never understand why people voted for this restriction. There must be a completely different ideology in Turkey that I just not understand.
