Does anyone have issue on updating from build 1511 to 1607?

Currently my system is up-to-date for 1511 build. But after that there's no further update provided.

So I wondered does the AU is updated automatically by the window itself? Or do we need to manually install them?

In any case, heard quite a no. of issues with AU as well. So again wondered if it's still worth to update it (even manually)?

I'm using w10 home AU now. It actually didn't automatically update to AU. I had to download the ISO and isntall it manually while everyone else already had AU update in Windows Update. Dont know why

about half the win10 computers in the world did not yet receive AU.
Microsoft is in no hurry...

Download Anniversary Upgrade App from Microsoft, it will download and install AU for you

Windows Update is complex and problematic the world over. If you actually search online to learn about how Microsoft updates the various Windows versions, then it will become readily apparent why the process is so fraught with issues.

Which brings me the puzzle of why Microsoft is half-baked at pushing AU on all users. o_O

Forced updates for consumers (Home and Pro), pick-and-choose updates for Enterprise and Education licensees.

M$ is using consumers as guinea pigs.

On W10 Home all you can do is disable Windows Update service and wait weeks for M$ to fix all the bugs released with every cumulative update; it is unreasonable to have to clean install the OS before every single cumulative update.

These forced W10 Home updates are becoming more and more a source of widespread user discontent...

So how do I disable update for Window Home? I mean I couldn't see any button/feature to turn off from the settings.

you're better off waiting until MS sort out the issues 1607 is causing before upgrading.

WIN + R > services.msc > Windows Update service > set to disabled

Bit late for me!! It crept up on me, smashed me over the head with a club and installed itself on here without so much as a please or thank you!:eek:
I was a bit annoyed with that cause I was going to wait a while until all bugs, etc had been ironed out! But haven't had any problems with it so far...
Touch wood!;) *touches head*:p:p
