use Win 8.1's drivers for Wind 10 ^^My laptop originally had Vista. Got free upgrade disc for Win 7 from HP. I did clean install of Win 7 & downloaded the drivers for Win 7 from HP site for my laptop.
Now to clean install Win 10, I have to use the same downloaded Win 7 drivers?
Based on my suggestion, don't be in a hurry to install Windows 10 on ur PC. Its risk upgrading directly unless its sure that it doesn't contain any bugs or glitches. Wait for a month for its updates and then you may decide ur upgrade. If if u really want to go ahead and take risks, u can install and enjoy. I am sure it will some issues unless its one or two months old.My laptop originally had Vista. Got free upgrade disc for Win 7 from HP. HP only show Vista & Win 7 drivers for my laptop model.use Win 8.1's drivers for Wind 10 ^^
I would get the drivers from the manufacturers site ie Nvidia/Realtek etc!Should I go for the latest drivers directly from the manufacturers like intel, broadcom, realtek, etc...?
Would this cause any probs & damage the system?
If it will not damage the system, I could try. I can always reinstall OS if needed.
Any other probs installing latest drivers directly from manufacturers?
Drivers through windows updates or manufacturers like intel, realtek, etc would be good?theorically, Win10 should have main drivers for almost all machines made since win7, so unless you need very specific drivers , you shouldn't have issues.
I just checked manufacturers site for latest drivers. And its little confusing for me. There are quite a few drivers. Its a little difficult task for me to find correct latest drivers.I would get the drivers from the manufacturers site ie Nvidia/Realtek etc!
You normally get the latest drivers by doing this!
