Has anyone used Windows IoT for the home? I've installed Windows IoT LTSC 2024 in a virtual machine and it seems to me to be the perfect version of Windows 11 without the garbage and unnecessary updates. All the warnings on the internet look like marketing by Microsoft who have no interest in home users using this version. What actual features might be going wrong? Could there be problems with games? It seems like it should be as usual to me, but maybe someone has experience?

Windows 11 IoT LTSC is indeed a stripped-down version of Windows, primarily designed for embedded systems. It might work fine for basic tasks, but it lacks certain features like the Microsoft Store, Cortana, and Edge. This might affect gaming, especially if games require these features or updates through the Store. Also, driver support might be limited. It's best to use it for its intended purpose - on devices that perform a specific, fixed function.

Store, Cortana, and Edge are not needed for normal games, neither is xBox and other junk :D I think NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready should install without problems.
Yes, you might be able to install NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready, but remember, not all games rely solely on the graphics driver. Some games may require specific Windows components or updates that might not be available in Windows 11 IoT LTSC. Also, support and troubleshooting might be more challenging due to the niche nature of this OS version. Proceed with caution.

I have used ltsc versions before and currently running on one of my computers but personally I would suggest to disable features yourself rather then going to ltsc as ltsc is mainly just windows with features disabled and longer security updates and no feature updates

Feature updates, no issues
