How to block the Start Menu promotion in Windows 11​

Windows 11 users may block most promotional messages on the operating system in the following way:

1. Use the keyboard shortcut Windows-I to open the Settings application.
2. Go to System > Notifications.
3. Scroll all the way down to additional settings.
4. Disable "get tips and suggestions when using Windows".
5. Disable "Suggest ways to get the most out of Windows and finish setting up this device".

I discovered these buried settings some time ago, probably after my clean install or subsequent update. MS has done a masterful job at hiding most of these invasive 'privacy' settings in a number of different locations.
