Advice Request Windows 7 not genuine after installing SP1

Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.

I have this problem. I had Windows activated before is SP1 installed, after i restarted my pc for completing installation i suddenly got a message that my Windows 7 is not genuine. Can anyone tell me how to fix this ? Windows 7 Ultimate x86, and you should consider that i'm not pirate. Thanks in advance.

I think this a bad Micropoo update as many users were effected by this. I would suggest a search for more info. This is not uncommon for Micropoo updates. Its a false positive.

this should stop it but this fix could only last for 30 day's then you might have
to do it again

How to fix Windows 7 Not Genuine Error – Fix “This copy of Windows is not genuine” Problem

Step.1 Go to Start menu and search for cmd , you will get cmd.exe in search result
here do a Right Click on cmd.exe and click on Run as Administrator, and you will
get Command Prompt.

Step 2. Once the command prompt is opened now type the following command,
SLMGR -REARM , make sure you type the same command without any mistake,
and also ensure that command prompt is opened in administrator mode
otherwise it will not work.

Step 3. Once you typed the above command in command prompt window then hit Enter
button on your keyboard to execute the above command.

Step 4. After you hit enter a confirmation window will appear with the details of
command execution as

Step 5. Now Restart your computer you will not get that error again like Windows
7 build 7600/7601 This copy of windows is not genuine.

I ran cmd as administrator and cmd says that slmgr is not recognized command.

There are only two easy ways to fix this problem if your Windows is genuine.

1. Contact your OEM vendor for support (if Windows was pre-installed when you bought your system.)
2. Contact Microsoft, if you system was upgraded or you bought Windows separately.

Go to: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System- there should a support phone number listed to call and online support website.

There is a chance that the serial number and activation code that underpin your windows installation have been blacklisted (suggesting you've got a pirate copy somewhere). The only way to sort this out is as Littlebits said, to contact Microsoft directly and if you are a genuine customer they will be more than happy to help you get this fixed.
