What's new in version 6.34.0.0 - (September 20, 2026)
  • Reverted: Exporting/importing to/from *.wfw file (Windows Firewall format) was added back and it works similar to how it worked in WFC 6.9.7.0 or earlier.
  • Reverted: Extended properties checkbox column was added back in Rules Panel. This column highlights easier Windows Store rules.
  • Fixed: Notifications exceptions right click context menu entries are enabled even if the software runs in read-only mode.
  • Fixed: OpenFileDialog generates multiple error messages in WFC log complaining about missing satellite resource assemblies, even if these files are not even required.
  • Fixed: PageUp and PageDown do not work correctly in Connection Log data grid.
  • Fixed: Better handling of Process.Start exceptions during install/update.
  • Fixed: Added new locks to ensure thread safe operations.

- Fixed: The service does not start on Windows Enterprise LTSB and LTSC versions due to how application packages list is read.
- Improved: If packages list is empty "Application package" option remains hidden since it has no meaning. This is useful for older OS versions, like Windows 7.

WFC developer explained the reason for the new update as hot fix...
Only today I realized there is a problem on Windows Enterprise LTSB and LTSC versions due to how the applications packages info is stored and how WFC tries to read it. On these versions, this data needs to be retrieved in another way. So, here is the fix for it.

What's new in version 6.37.0.0 - (October 21, 2026)
  • New: Added support for Grouping in Rules Panel and Connections Log. This allows better filtering based on various properties.
  • Improved: When copying remote addresses or other properties through the right click context menu in Connections Log, the entries are now sorted ascending.
  • Improved: When selecting multiple entries in Connections Log to 'Customize and create' a new rule, the ports and IP addresses are now sorted ascending.
  • Improved: If Secure Rules disables a firewall rule, you have to manually refresh Rules Panel to see the changes. This is done now automatically.
  • Fixed: When multiple notification are displayed and you create a new rule, the first notification is selected instead of the previous one.
  • Fixed: When navigating through notifications with the mouse, you have to click on the exact left and right arrows instead of the entire square button around them.
  • Fixed: Secure Rules may remain disabled in some circumstances even if it may appear as enabled.
