they did the same thing to me, my account qualified, i didnt know about a deadline because i dont keep up with this stuff too busy with life - ended up having to email the company and they gave me no exceptions on the sale even if i had one of the few qualified accounts - not great customer service they basically said its impossible to do now.

Will not support windscribe after this, 10 days no exception = no business with me again.

Completely agree as I've already said on this thread. I used to promote Windscribe here when they started out. In fact I think I was the first to recommended them. Not after this though. It's bad in so many ways. If they renege on this, who's to say they they won't do it again? This Putin nonsense is also very patronising and insulting to the intelligence of their customers. Maybe if I was teenage or preteen I would think it was humourous but I'm not and I don't. They have lost my trust and like you I'm done with them.

I'm using both, Proton VPN and Windscibe. Proton VPN when I need unlimited data, Windscribe for unblocking the content. Once they reduce free data plan, I'm going away and will use free proxies instead. I don't need VPN for encryption or "privacy protection"; for unblocking content that isn't accessible to me. And for that, free proxy is more than enough.

Windscribe wasnt a great vpn to begin with, so no biggy; the question is who is the best value lost cost option now?

And that's the problem. They've reneged once, they can do it again. In my view they can no longer be trusted and the final straw was the patronising Putin nonsense.

Never trust windscribe - a ceo who ran many pornsites before starting windscribe. would you trust a porn company with your data?

And what’s your problem with that, are you a nun or something?

I would never trust a company with my data who ran pornsites, simple as that.

VPNs are offsetting trust from my ISP to another; Proton, Nord, even Kape are more trustworth in this case.

I would not expect any integrity from said company when it really mattered; way better VPN options without this bs to worry about.
But it explains their unprofessional stance as a company, trash ethics in a professional sense.
