I know that registry cleaners have a pretty poor reputation among high level users. However I find the advice to "leave the registrty alone" cannot be literally applied in all cases. There are times when I find registry editing necessary, particularly to get rid of autostarts, particularly for drivers. I uninstalled a program and got rid of its driver and found my computer to be unbootable until I restored the driver and edited it out of the registry before removing it the second time.
The question is will a registry cleaner often any improved capability over a plain old registry editor?

Still no e-mail from them. Was I suppose to check one of the boxes at the bottom when registering?
