A usual tactic already in order to gain revenue and distribute the personal information elsewhere. Majority of percentage income goes on advertisement in order to maintain the software development and without it, then the operation may halt.
Which why spams occur on our email providers everyday because of that.
As mentioned always, do not use any product nor internet to avoid exposing such information.

Ghostery had the option, default was tracking you.
I only ever used a couple of extensions on one browser/Firefox and I got rid of all extensions years ago, including my AV's. A lot of people have numerous extensions on their browser.
Bad enough that Google, MSFT and governmints are tracking you, now everybody knows what you are doing.
