Assigned Zemana is 'updating signatures'?

I too have noticed Zemana updating.

I use free version but when I activate with pro key, it updates.

Zemana no detects not all ESET and BitDefender malware as possible when it contains these engines ??Some are omitted in detection.

ESET and Bitdefender include their own Cloud-based Detection Network, perhaps that is why the standalone ESET and Bitdefender detect more samples than Zemana.

During the Zemana Antimalware Beta, they displayed a Settings page to choose which engines to activate, it has since been removed and therefore I cannot claim to know what engines Zemana now uses.
