What is the DHL Express – CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE email?
DHL Express – CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE is a phishing email that pretends to be from DHL and claims that there is an issue with your delivery or problems with your payment information. It then asks you to click on a link to fix this issue.
Contrary to the claims in the email, there is no delivery, invoices, or other account issues (or at least, that’s not what prompted this email) and this is nothing more than a scam that tries to scare you into clicking on a link or opening an attachment.

Once on the fake DHL site, you will be prompted to enter your credit card details or log in to your account. These details will be collected by criminals and used to steal your money and commit fraudulent transactions.

Is the DHL Express – CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE email real?
No, and don’t panic. The DHL Express – CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE email is a scam that tries to trick you into clicking on a link or opening an attachment. To make the email more credible, these scammers use fake invoice numbers, renewal dates, official logos, and promotional banners.
Here are signs that this email is a scam, even though it looks like it comes from a company you know — and even uses the company’s logo in the header:
- A generic greeting is used in place of a name (eg. “customer,” “account holder,” or “dear”).
- The sender’s email address is not associated with a legitimate domain name
- The email invites you to click on a link to resolve an issue. Most reputable organizations will not ask users to disclose sensitive information (e.g. credit card numbers) by clicking on a link.
- There is a time limit or uncharacteristic sense of urgency
- Poor grammar, spelling, and sentence structure may hint that an email is not from a reputable source.
While real companies might communicate with you by email, legitimate companies won’t email or text with a link to update your payment information. Phishing emails can often have real consequences for people who give scammers their information, including identity theft.
What should I do now?
We recommend that you ignore the content of the DHL Express – CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE email and delete it from your Inbox.
